Field & Supply Chain Operations
Role Overview
The Employee Lifecycle Specialist owns and continuously improves the onboarding and offboarding experience for Field and Supply Chain professionals ("Pros"), from recruiting handoff through readiness, productivity, and exit.
This role sits within Field & Supply Chain Operations and serves as both an operational partner and experience strategist. The Specialist is responsible for identifying friction across the employee lifecycle, uncovering root causes, and driving improvements that increase readiness, accelerate productivity, improve communication, and strengthen the overall Pro experience.
Success in this role requires strong operational thinking, relationship-building, problem-solving, and the ability to translate field insights into scalable solutions. This individual serves as a voice for frontline employees and leaders, helping ensure processes, systems, and resources align with how work is actually performed in the field.
The Employee Lifecycle Specialist operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to independently identify opportunities, influence stakeholders, and lead initiatives that improve workforce readiness and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle Ownership
- Own the day-to-day onboarding and offboarding experience for Field and Supply Chain Pros.
- Serve as a central point of coordination and accountability across cross-functional partners.
- Monitor employee lifecycle touchpoints to ensure consistent, high-quality experiences.
- Proactively identify barriers, delays, or gaps that impact readiness, engagement, or successful transitions.
Onboarding Strategy & Readiness
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Training, HR Operations, Fleet, Licensing, Compliance, Supply Chain, and Field Operations to drive seamless onboarding execution.
- Monitor onboarding performance and readiness metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop solutions that reduce delays and improve speed-to-productivity.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to onboarding workflows, communications, tools, and documentation.
- Drive accountability across stakeholders to ensure Pros achieve operational readiness on schedule.
Offboarding Experience & Transition Management
- Manage and improve offboarding processes in partnership with leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve the departing employee experience while maintaining operational compliance.
- Analyze offboarding trends and feedback to identify recurring issues impacting retention, engagement, asset loss, or workforce effectiveness.
- Recommend process improvements that improve consistency, reduce risk, and strengthen operational execution.
Voice of the Field & Experience Insights
- Conduct structured listening sessions, check-ins, field visits, and feedback reviews during key employee lifecycle milestones.
- Gather qualitative and quantitative insights from Pros and field leaders.
- Analyze trends across onboarding, offboarding, and workforce experience data.
- Identify systemic issues and distinguish recurring trends from isolated incidents.
- Present findings, recommendations, and business impacts to operational leaders.
- Serve as an advocate for field employees by bringing frontline insights into operational decision-making.
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
- Lead small-to-medium process improvement initiatives across onboarding and lifecycle experience programs.
- Identify root causes of operational friction and partner with stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions.
- Evaluate workflows, handoffs, systems, communications, and ownership models to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, governance materials, and best practices.
- Participate in pilot programs and change management efforts related to lifecycle experience initiatives.
- Measure effectiveness of implemented improvements and recommend further enhancements.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence
- Build strong partnerships with field leaders, workforce planning, training, HR, operations, licensing, fleet, and other support organizations.
- Influence stakeholders through data, insights, and operational expertise.
- Facilitate alignment between centralized functions and frontline operations.
- Support organizational initiatives designed to improve workforce readiness, productivity, retention, and engagement.
Analytics & Business Reporting
- Monitor onboarding, offboarding, readiness, productivity, and experience-related metrics.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reporting, and operational health indicators.
- Identify trends and communicate risks, opportunities, and recommendations to leadership.
- Ensure data integrity across lifecycle experience processes and tools.
- Utilize data to prioritize improvement efforts and measure business impact.

Experience & Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in workforce operations, employee experience, field operations support, onboarding operations, program coordination, or related operational roles.
- Experience supporting frontline or field-based workforces preferred.
- Demonstrated experience identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions.
- Experience analyzing data and presenting recommendations to leadership.
- Familiarity with workforce management systems, HRIS platforms, AI & reporting tools, and workflow management solutions preferred.
- Experience operating in high-growth, change-oriented environments strongly preferred.
