  • The Billing Senior Specialist is responsible for customer billing and tax setup, and audit support.  
  • The role has a direct impact on customer experience and interacts with various internal groups to ensure customer billing satisfaction and accurate revenue recognition. 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day processing of customer tax exemption forms, ensuring documents are complete and entered accurately into company systems.
  • Help review invoices to identify and correct basic tax-related issues with guidance from senior team members.
  • Accurately enter and maintain tax exemption and invoice delivery information in company records.
  • Follow established procedures for handling tax exemptions and support updates as processes improve.
  • Respond to requests and questions from Sales, Customer Experience, and other teams, helping to resolve tax-related inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist with collecting and organizing information for tax and audit reporting needs.
  • Ensure work aligns with company guidelines, policies, and control requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and training to learn about process changes and updates.
  • Work with other team members to identify areas for improvement and share ideas for making tasks easier and more efficient.
  • Support special projects or other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 – 4 years prior work experience in the field or in a related area.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or a related area, preferred.
  • Experience with tax exemption regulations, documentation, and compliance processes.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of tax exemption rules, particularly in multi-state or complex customer environments
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in billing systems, Microsoft Excel and document tracking tools.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Experience supporting audit readiness and internal control compliance is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily sedentary work with frequent opportunities to move about.

 

The base salary range for this position is: $$39,600-$65,400. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, the position may be eligible to participate in the benefits program which include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
