Job Summary:

 

The Tax Analyst position reports to the Tax Manager and will support the Company’s tax provision and compliance functions, including assistance with income tax provision process and preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance, while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.      

 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Assist with preparation of the U.S. income tax provision, tax basis balance sheet, and tax modeling
  • Prepare book-to-tax adjustments and reconcile deferred tax balances for temporary differences
  • Support tax research related to federal and state tax matters
  • Assist with preparation of federal income tax returns, state corporate income and franchise/local tax returns, and related workpapers
  • Assist with preparation of apportionment data and calculations for state filings
  • Assist with calculation and processing of estimated payments and extensions
  • Assist with responses to federal and state tax notices and audit inquiries
  • Assist with state tax registrations and miscellaneous filings
  • Assist with process and technology improvement initiatives within the tax function
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested

 

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Open office environment
  • 4 days in office
  • Overtime required during peak work periods

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
  • 1 - 2+ years of experience in corporate tax or public accounting
  • Basic understanding of income tax concepts and accounting principles
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Exposure to ASC 740 income tax accounting
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., OneSource)
  • Progress toward CPA or advanced degree in Tax
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OneStream)
  • Experience working with AI tools for Excel and research tasks

The base salary range for this position is: $57,840 - $95,400. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition the position may be eligible to participate in the benefits program which include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
