Job Summary: 

 

  • Position interacts with the Finance, Cash Management, Accounting, Asset Management and Legal teams.
  • Responsible for the preparation of payment, filing of compliance, and communication internally and with lenders and bank agents

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and process payments due under various debt agreements.
  • Reconciliation of debt and interest balances with in the SAP accounting system.
  • Review credit agreements, file compliance in accordance with credit agreements, indentures, etc.
  • Interact with the internal cash management, asset management and accounting groups.
  • Maintain debt related information within the Integrity cash management system.
  • Preparation of budgeting and forecasting information for debt and interest outstanding.
  • Maintain oversight of Nuclear Decommissioning Trust investments and reporting.
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Other duties and projects as they arise

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Remote work environment with expectation that NRG will return to partial time in office in 2021
  • Some overtime required as during monthly, quarterly and annual close process and as special projects arise.
  • Travel – not expected

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 3 or more years’ experience in Corporate Treasury or related experience
  • Proficient in MS Office suite

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 3 or more years’ experience in Corporate Treasury or related experience
  • Proficient in MS Office suite in particular excel
  • Familiarity with accounting or cash management systems

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work on a variety of disparate tasks, demanding different skill sets.
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
