Job Summary: 

 

  • NRG is seeking a Data Analytics Manager with excellent analytics, reporting, and dashboard skills to join our NRG Consumer East Customer Lifecycle Optimization (CLO) team.  The position will be responsible for overseeing and administering the reporting and dashboard needs of all the functional areas within the East Consumer organization.  The role will work with a wide range of reporting levels and departments.  The candidate must possess strong understanding of reporting and analytics as it pertains to the presentation of metrics and KPIs as well as leadership and project management skills.  The nature of the work leads to an environment of shifting priorities and requires the candidate to be able to adapt to change.  This position requires continual learning and skill development, both technical and non-technical.  The position will report to the Director, Customer Lifecycle Optimization.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee and manage the current and future state of reporting and dashboarding for the organization.
  • Ability to lead a team of talented developers as well as foster an environment of training and growth.
  • Translate business requirements into KPIs and metrics that can be displayed and/or reported in scalable and reliable ways.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering, data science, and other functional areas with respect to reporting needs.
  • Ensure the reliability of reporting pipelines and resolve any interruptions/issues.
  • Other related duties as required.

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • This is a desk-based job that requires working in an office environment.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required in either a Business Intelligence (or related) or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field.
  • 5+ years (professional) experience with dashboarding and reporting at an enterprise level using software such as Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, etc.
  • Experience working with large data sets and disaggregated data.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with cloud-based data architectures.
  • 2+ years managing process and/or people.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst or similar professional certification

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Must be able to collaborate efficiently and effectively with individuals and teams distributed across multiple locales.
  • Ability to manage heavy workload and shifting priorities.
  • Self-starter with an inquisitive mindset and an interest in understanding the ‘why’ of actions.

The base salary range for this position is: *$120,000-130,000* *The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition the position may be eligible to participate in the benefits program which include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
