Job Summary: 
The Manager of Digital Marketing is responsible for the planning and execution of the day-to-day digital acquisition initiatives for the Home Protection division which includes Home Warranty of America, Direct Energy Protection Plans and AWHR. This position is accountable for management of both internal and external agencies which support our paid digital, SEM, SEO and social efforts.

 

They will develop and launch an integrated digital marketing plan, that includes growing protection plans through cross serve initiatives with existing NRG customers as well as through Direct-to-Consumer initiatives targeting new non-energy customers. This position will devise campaigns to provide upper funnel awareness, lead generation, and digital sales.  The position requires a combination of strategic, creative, technical, analytical, and management skills.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serves as Marketing project manager for digital campaigns by coordinating logistics, communications and project requirements between internal departments and outside agencies.
  • Oversees all phases of implementation of the strategic direction, including budgetary responsibilities.
  • Responsible for supporting online acquisition and retention through brand and product awareness, organic search optimization, effective use of cpc campaigns, mobile, social and affiliate marketing programs.
  • Maintains social media presence across all digital channels
  • Identifies trends and insights, and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights
  • Helps to brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Collaborates with Communications Strategy team and other stakeholders throughout the company to ensure campaigns maintain brand and tone consistency and looks for new opportunities to use the online sales channel to meet business goals.
  • Develops new opportunities for online acquisition through rigorous testing and oversight of campaign performance
  • Plans, executes and measures experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborates with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience 
  • Analyzes KPI’s to provide insights to improve online marketing program.
  • Maintains an understanding of innovative online marketing technologies for application in various platforms and channels.
  • Participates in integrating online and offline communications in support of communication plans designed to achieve larger organizational objectives
  • Drives both lead generation and transactional marketing initiatives
  • Drives the development of mobile and social marketing plans
  • Evaluates current SEO rankings and correlated search engine/keyword performance across brands and improves natural rankings
  • Collaborates with Communication Strategy and Digital Customer Experience teams to implement SEO improvements, CRO tests and enhancements

 

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment, or remote.
  • Majority of work performed by utilizing a computer in a seated position.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  • Minimal Travel

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience working with design software; e-mail; database; Microsoft Office, CMS
  • 5 or more years of digital marketing experience
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe, etc.)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Strong strategic and excellent execution skills with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with natural ability to influence and thrive in a dynamic and complex work environment
  • Demonstrated creative development, project management and business analysis skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Proven track record of managing multiple work streams.

 

Preferred:

  • Preferred industry experience includes: energy, wireless, airline, banking, insurance, home services and consumer products
  • Home services and/or extended warranty industry marketing experience
