Job Summary: 

 

Assistant Sales Manager will have responsibility for creating value for Reliant Energy with Realtor partners through the execution of campaigns, programs and sales team productivity.  This individual will manage a team of Mover Concierge agents in a specified market and be responsible for addressing client needs and driving sales performance metrics defined by the organization.  ASM is responsible for coaching and developing team members to achieve performance goals by enhancing the networking/sales/closing skills of the team to generate referral leads and cross-serve opportunities to Mover Concierge Program.  

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Ability to motivate and drive sales team within assigned market that can deliver sales and goal attainment on a consistent basis
  • Manage and expand existing Realtor programs, products and services that support Realtors, move concierges and their clients during the move process as well as prospecting/developing new relationships within the market. 
  • Effectively manage team by establishing weekly schedule consisting of side by side in person coaching, regular 1:1 feedback, and team meetings
  • Monitor progress against key performance metrics for territory, ensure that progress is effectively communicated and implement strategies and tactics to address performance gaps, including documentation and issuing of corrective action
  • Report, Track, Monitor and Present Agent Performance metrics on daily, weekly, monthly basis
  • Assist agents in building pipeline of referrals in order to meet goals
  • Ensure agents in territory have contacted top 25 realtors in their assigned offices weekly; ensure agents are contacting all realtor agents in their assigned offices monthly
  • Ensure that key policies, processes and procedures are understood and adhered to ensure high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency across territory are maintained. Implement corrective actions when policy violations are discovered
  • Stay current with industry trends, standards and practices to better identify customer needs; analyze and report trends of outside factors influencing the business
  • As needed, coordinates promotional activities with Channel Marketing Manager and stakeholders within organization to drive performance metrics
  • Resolve problems with clients and proactively implement issue resolution as needed
  • Participate in special projects while maintaining daily performance expectations
  • Deliver training as needed to increase performance utilizing approved materials through face to face meetings (minimum monthly)
  • Attend all major sponsorship events in market
  • Provide quarterly business reviews to owner/broker in conjunction with channel manager
  • Manage training compliance, time entry/approval and expense activity (ensure team is not exceeding budget)
  • Results Driven with exceptional written communication, verbal communication & presentation skills are a must
  • Promote value of Mover Concierge program by building strong customer relationships at executive, owner, broker, realtor, and administrative level at realtor office

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • 1+ year supervisory experience leading a sales team is required
  • A minimum of 3+ years general business experience in strategy, sales, mgmt. or marketing is preferred
  • 1+ year experience in the realtor/mortgage field preferred 
  • Superior customer relationship skills and a proven track record of success effectively managing a sales team

 

    • All positions at NRG will require at least  a high school diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred

  • Practical knowledge of the residential mover market – i.e., buying needs, key influencers, natural partners, business trends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite-- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Open office environment
  • Minimum 40 hour work week is expected
  • Some nights and weekends required to support the needs of the customer or realtor partner
  • Travel (approximately 20-25%); Daily driving required within territory

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
