Senior Material Planner (NRG Energy, Inc., Lehi, UT)

Manually plan Warehouse orders when inventory levels are below inventory target. Work with Demand Planner/Buyers to determine action plans and timelines for warehouse healthy dates. Process weekly warehouse orders through planning system (Kinaxis). Perform root cause analysis for shortages and imbalance in the warehouse network. Perform analysis for safety stock level adjustments, order minimums, rounding values, and other core aspects of the warehouse planning functionality in Kinaxis and provide recommendations for updates. Coordinate the return to vendor process with internal teams and external suppliers. Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly reoccurring task such as Coupa PO creation, Metrics updates, ASC process, Customer Shipment management, etc. Perform SAP Material Master responsibilities. Determine process improvement projects and manage those projects. Plan consumable items in our planning system Kinaxis. Salary: $78,187.72 - $88,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Analytics, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as Material planner, Supply chain planner, or any occupation/position/job title performing cross functional coordination and alignment for inventory including project management.

Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience utilizing SAP to create return to vendor POs, run reporting, and validate data; 3 years of professional experience utilizing Coupa to create non-inventoried item POs, run reporting, and create receipts; 3 years of professional experience utilizing Kinaxis to make adjustments to current RDC planning parameters, validate data, plan consumable items, and make recommendations for process improvements; 3 years of professional experience performing purchasing or material management; 2 years of professional experience utilizing MRP system and reporting/alert tools including SAP and Tableau; 2 years of professional experience performing inventory planning, supply planning, warehouse inventory planning, inventory management, project management, and customer service
