The Sr. Associate, Customer Marketing is responsible for leading key initiatives that enhance the customer experience and drive engagement across the customer lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of project management, stakeholder coordination, and marketing strategy. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of lifecycle marketing, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset to ensure effective execution of marketing programs that support retention, loyalty, and revenue growth.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end development and execution of lifecycle marketing campaigns across email, SMS, digital, and direct mail channels
- Lead cross-functional response efforts during customer-impacting incidents and/or operational disruptions (e.g. outages, billing errors, service updates)
- Drive the coordination and deployment of crisis communications across email, SMS, in-app, and web channels, ensuring messaging is accurate, timely, and consistent with brand voice.
- Act as the primary liaison between the customer marketing team and key stakeholders to ensure that timelines, deliverables, and expectations are met
- Facilitate regular check-ins, presentations, and reporting to ensure alignment across business units
- Support and mentor team members, providing guidance on lifecycle marketing best practices and project execution
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Project management experience
- Multitasks and delivers in a time-sensitive environment
- Proven success managing complex marketing projects and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable to a rapidly changing, fast-paced business environment
Preferred:
- Experience in Adobe Workfront or Asana
- Energy industry or consumer products experience is preferred but not required
- Experience in crisis or issue management strongly preferred
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field
- 5+ years of marketing, customer experience, or communications
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Regularly required to use a computer to communicate via online channels.
- Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Working Conditions:
- Open Office Environment – Primary Work Location in Houston, TX
- Hybrid work schedule, 3 days in office, 2 days remote work.
- Reports to the Consumer Marketing function.
