Position Summary

The Specialist, Employee Lifecycle & Communications plays a key role in supporting NRG's employee listening strategy by delivering operational excellence across enterprise surveys, employee feedback programs, and lifecycle insights.

This role serves as the operational backbone of NRG's Employee Listening program, partnering closely with groups across the organization such as Talent Business Partners, and business leaders to execute employee surveys, manage Qualtrics administration, analyze data, develop executive-ready reporting, and support action planning. The Specialist also contributes to employee lifecycle initiatives and communications that help improve the employee experience from onboarding through ongoing engagement.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized, with strong project management skills and the ability to translate employee feedback into clear insights that support better business decisions.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of NRG's enterprise employee listening strategy, including engagement surveys, pulse surveys, lifecycle surveys, and ad hoc listening initiatives.
  • Administer employee surveys within Qualtrics, including survey builds, participant management, testing, launch support, and reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of employee listening programs, ensuring data accuracy, project timelines, and overall survey quality.
  • Analyze survey results and develop executive-ready dashboards, presentations, and readout materials that communicate key insights and trends.
  • Support preparation of leadership reporting, including PowerPoint presentations, scorecards, and data visualizations.
  • Assist with survey governance, documentation, processes, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen listening operations.
  • Support employee lifecycle programs and communications by providing operational, analytical, and project support as needed.
  • Monitor participation metrics, identify trends, and help recommend opportunities to improve employee engagement and the listening experience.
  • Stay current on Qualtrics capabilities, employee listening best practices, and emerging technologies that enhance employee insights.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Organizational Psychology, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with survey platforms, preferably Qualtrics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with experience creating executive-level presentations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications, including Copilot.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Preferred

  • Experience administering Qualtrics employee engagement or lifecycle surveys.
  • Experience supporting employee listening, Voice of Employee (VoE), or employee experience programs.
  • Familiarity with survey methodology, reporting, and data visualization.
  • Experience preparing presentations and communicating insights to senior leaders.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business functions.
