JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Graphic Designer supports the strategic, creative, and visual communication needs of the NRG Business organization, with a specific focus on high-impact B2B marketing across commodities-driven energy products and services. This role serves as a lead designer for enterprise-level campaigns, sales enablement materials, digital experiences, and brand-driven content that supports commercial and industrial (C&I), SMB, and broker channels.
The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for delivering high-quality, on-brand creative across digital, print, environmental, and video formats. This individual will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, products, digital, analytics, and external agency partners to translate complex energy solutions into clear, persuasive, visually compelling assets that support pipeline growth, customer retention, and brand differentiation.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of multichannel B2B marketing assets, including sales collateral, presentations, product one-pagers, infographics, landing pages, digital ads, emails, social assets, and environmental/event materials.
- Translate complex energy offerings (pricing, risk management, sustainability solutions, DERs, retail energy products) into visually engaging, easy-to-understand content for C&I, SMB, and broker audiences.
- Partner with marketing managers, product teams, copywriters, and sales leadership to develop visual systems that support campaigns, broker programs, and industry events.
- Maintain deep understanding of NRG’s business portfolio and ensure visual alignment across commodities, markets, and segments.
- Rapidly iterate design concepts based on performance data, user behavior insights, and stakeholder feedback.
- Collaborate with the Digital team to create A/B testable digital assets that improve performance across paid media, email, landing pages, and web experiences.
- Uphold and evolve NRG brand standards; ensure consistency and governance across all channels.
- Support leadership by developing executive-quality visual presentations, templates, scalable toolkits, and guidelines.
- Manage production files, version control, and asset delivery in partnership with the AEM DAM and project management systems (e.g., Workfront).
- Provide art direction for photo/video projects as needed, ensuring alignment with campaign strategies.
- Mentor junior designers and provide creative feedback to elevate output quality and consistency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or equivalent discipline.
- 8+ years professional design experience, including at least 5 years supporting B2B marketing or commodities-focused industries (energy, utilities, oil & gas, industrial, or financial services).
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Demonstrated experience producing high-volume, enterprise-level creative under tight timelines.
- Strong portfolio showcasing visual problem-solving, B2B marketing work, and complex storytelling.
- Experience designing for digital platforms and collaborating with digital marketing, UX, and analytics teams.
- Proven ability to communicate creative concepts to senior stakeholders and present design rationale.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the energy sector or commodity‑based B2B industries.
- Working knowledge of design for digital performance optimization (A/B testing, paid media creative, email performance design).
- Familiarity with Workfront or similar workflow/project management platforms.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Premiere, or motion graphics – intermediate proficiency preferred.
- Experience with Figma or AI-driven creative ideation tools (e.g., MidJourney, Leonardo, Adobe Firefly).
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and adapt to a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Knowledge of environmental design and event graphics.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate enterprise priorities into clear visual executions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
- Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Hybrid schedule (4x per week in office) within an open office environment.
- Occasional travel for events, photoshoots, or team collaboration.
- Some overtime required as special projects arise.
