Position Overview:

The Senior Go-to-Market Strategy and Planning Manager will be a key member of our strategic planning team, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies that drive growth and profitability in the Texas region. This role will require a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, market dynamics, and customer needs, as well as the ability to translate insights into actionable plans that drive results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of quarterly, annual, and long-term strategic plans for the Texas region, aligning with broader company objectives. Ensure integration with cross-functional teams and initiatives to drive cohesive and integrated planning processes.

  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product development, operations, pricing & margin management and other key functional stakeholders to develop integrated go-to-market plans that leverage the strengths of each function and drive maximum impact in the market.

  • Initiate and leverage market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities in the deregulated electricity market, with a focus on the Texas region. Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry shifts that may impact the business.

  • Develop and implement strategies to integrate the long-term, integrated consumer services strategy into regional go-to-market plans, ensuring alignment with customer needs, preferences, and behaviors in the Texas market.

  • Lead strategic planning efforts for emerging categories such as Virtual Power Plants (VPP) and Solar, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation in these areas and developing go-to-market strategies to capitalize on them.

  • Evaluate potential partnerships and alliances in the Texas market that can enhance the company's go-to-market capabilities, expand market reach, and drive incremental revenue opportunities.

  • Establish KPI’s and collaborate on reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of go-to-market initiatives in the Texas region. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership to communicate results, insights, and recommendations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, go-to-market strategy, and business development roles, preferably in the electricity or energy industry.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling and visually engaging PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate complex ideas, data, and strategic plans to diverse audiences, including senior executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Strong design sensibility, storytelling prowess, and attention to detail are essential for creating impactful presentations that drive understanding, alignment, and action.

  • Deep understanding of deregulated electricity markets, including regulatory frameworks, competitive dynamics, and customer segments, with specific knowledge of the Texas market preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in market research, financial modeling, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.

  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively, anticipate market trends, and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.

  • Results-oriented approach, with a focus on driving measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.

The salary range for this role is  $125,000 - $180,000. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
