Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of TX Brand Strategy is responsible for shaping and leading brand direction for NRG’s Texas energy brands, with a primary focus on Reliant. This role requires a strong understanding of brand strategy, the Texas energy landscape, and consumer insights, as well as the ability to translate data and performance into clear, actionable strategies that drive growth and long‑term brand value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and evolve brand strategies that align customer segments, value propositions, and business objectives across NRG’s TX energy brands.
- Define positioning, messaging frameworks, and strategic narratives that reinforce brand differentiation and long‑term brand equity.
- Lead insight‑driven strategy by guiding qualitative and quantitative research and leveraging brand health, customer, and market insights to identify growth opportunities, risks, and areas for optimization.
- Create clear strategic briefs and frameworks to guide internal teams and external agencies, enabling strong, on‑brand activation.
- Partner closely with Go-to-Market, product, CX, sponsorship, media, and TX regional teams to ensure brand strategy is embedded in execution and ladders back to brand positioning, value propositions, and long‑term brand ambition.
- Build strong, influential relationships to align stakeholders and drive strategic change across the enterprise.
- Contribute brand strategy guidance for TX sponsorships and partnerships, ensuring alignment to brand priorities, target segments, and business outcomes.
- Provide strategic leadership for energy mass media campaigns, shaping campaign objectives, messaging frameworks, and success metrics in partnership with external agencies, media, creative, and TX Go-to-Market teams.
- Shape the strategic narrative for Smarter Together, ensuring the Reliant + Vivint story is clear, differentiated, and consistently brought to life across mass media, brand touchpoints, and customer experiences.
- Define and shape the future of the Reliant brand, ensuring innovation, automation, and connected energy solutions are delivered credibly and meaningfully to customers.
- Support integrated planning and performance visibility by partnering with the TX region, facilitating brand and marketing QBRs, and developing executive‑ready materials that connect results to brand strategy and future planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing strategy, or related roles, preferably within consumer, energy, or multi‑brand environments.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable leading multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong strategic thinker with a deep understanding of consumer segmentation, brand positioning, and insight‑driven decision‑making, and the ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable direction.
- Proven experience influencing cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas, data, and strategy into compelling narratives and executive‑ready presentations.
