We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Leader to spearhead the transformation and modernization of our financial planning systems and tools and processes. This role will serve as the strategic liaison between the FP&A organization and cross-functional stakeholders including Data and Technology, Accounting, Risk, Procurement, and external vendors. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in finance systems and project management, and change leadership to drive faster, more accurate and future-ready solutions that provide data driven insights and improve decision making across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end implementation of finance systems (e.g., planning, forecasting, reporting, analytics) aligned with FP&A strategic goals.
- Define and drive the systems roadmap in partnership with Finance leadership, ensuring alignment with business priorities and scalability.
- Translate FP&A requirements into system capabilities, partnering with IT and vendors to design and deliver optimal solutions.
- Manage cross-functional project teams, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful deployment and adoption.
- Champion change management, training, and communication strategies to ensure smooth transitions and user engagement.
- Establish governance frameworks for data integrity, system controls, and process standardization.
- Continuously evaluate system performance, user feedback, and emerging technologies to drive ongoing improvements.
- Serve as the FP&A systems subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in finance systems implementation, FP&A, or financial transformation roles.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale system implementations (e.g., Anaplan, Oracle, SAP, Workday Adaptive Planning).
- Strong understanding of FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and reporting.
- Exceptional project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence across levels, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with building and developing high performing teams
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based planning platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with enterprise data architecture and integration concepts.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for process optimization and automation.
- Strong record of continuous improvement in prior roles
- Experience in the energy industry
Working Conditions:
- This job operates in a professional open office environment.
- Hybrid work schedule with 4 in-office days
- Work location is open to Houston, TX, Princeton, NJ, or Provo/Lehi/Lindon, Utah with travel required
- Travel within the U.S. as required, approximately up to 30% of the time
The base salary range for this position is: $192,000-$316,800. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, the position may be eligible to participate in the benefits program which include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
