Position Overview:
NRG is seeking a highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and collaborative Senior Analyst to support the data, insights, and project management needs of our Philanthropy and Community Engagement team. This role will lead key elements of the operational and programmatic execution of NRG’s philanthropic initiatives, with a focus on generating high‑quality data, improving processes, and providing insights that strengthen employee engagement, enhance reputation, and support business goals.
Reporting to the Leader of Operations and Corporate & Enterprise Programs, this role will play a critical part in managing complex projects, coordinating cross‑functional workflows, and developing data‑driven reporting and communications that bring our giving pillars to life across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management, Analysis & Insights (Primary Focus)
- Lead data collection, validation, and consolidation across giving platforms, grants, volunteer programs, and community engagement activities.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to measure program effectiveness and share insights with leadership.
- Analyze trends, identify gaps, and provide recommendations to optimize philanthropic strategy and processes.
- Ensure data integrity, consistent taxonomy, and alignment with reporting frameworks and giving pillars.
- Own data governance processes, including documentation, auditing, and system hygiene across platforms.
Project & Program Management
- Manage complex, cross-functional projects supporting enterprise-wide philanthropic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, stakeholder communications, and risk tracking.
- Coordinate multi-team workflows to ensure milestones and deliverables are completed on time.
- Support the design, execution, and tracking of programs that involve employee volunteers and community partners – including grantees and nonprofit collaborators – to ensure alignment with business goals and community impact objectives.
Operational Support & Process Optimization
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline philanthropic operations, data flows, and reporting cadence.
- Document processes, create standard operating procedures, and identify automation opportunities.
- Support vendor management, system enhancements, and platform integrations to improve data visibility and impact tracking.
Reporting, Storytelling & Presentation Development
- Produce high-quality reports, insights summaries, and data visualizations for senior leadership, external stakeholders, and internal communications.
- Create compelling PowerPoint presentations highlighting program outcomes, impact metrics, and strategic recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Communications, Marketing, Sustainability, HR, and regional teams to ensure accurate, data-informed messaging and storytelling.
- Support companywide engagement by sharing insights, best practices, and trends across business units
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Public Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in data analytics, CSR/corporate philanthropy, or program/project management.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI; strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven experience managing complex projects and coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into insights for non-technical audiences.
- Passion for social impact, sustainability, and community engagement.
