Job Summary: 

 

  • The position will be responsible for the reporting and analysis for Market Operations operating expenses and will report to Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. Working closely with Market Operations business team and regional FP&A teams, this position will be responsible for monthly and quarterly variance analysis, and coordination and review of annual budget and long-term plans as well as the monthly/quarterly forecasts.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Reviewing and coordinating all aspects of the Market Operations operating expense budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses; supporting Market Operations business reporting needs and ad hoc requests
  • Integrating all labor expenses into reporting packages and analysis
  • Coordination of non-labor forecast and budget inputs into Financial Planning and Reporting system
  • Participation in the development of the monthly actuals and forecast variance analyses which are used to complete the monthly forecast package
  • Preparing routine monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and special adhoc reports for senior and regional management as requested, serving as liaison between the business and corporate FP&A as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in finance and/or accounting or comparable business field required.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in financial analysis with personnel budgeting experience in middle market or larger organizations strongly preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and complete responsibilities with little supervision, yet work well in collaborative culture
  • Ability to resolve complex finance and accounting issues
  • High level of motivation and aptitude for problem solving, with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as this position requires significant interface with outside stakeholders and the senior management team
  • Able to work in a demanding environment with tight deadlines
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Financial Management or comparable products is preferred

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Power Query/Other Macro tools experience a plus
