We are seeking a hands‑on Finance Manager to support the transformation and modernization of our financial planning tools, processes, and data environment. This role will work closely with FP&A, Data & Technology, Accounting, Risk, Procurement, and external vendors to execute system enhancements and process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring experience in finance, financial systems, project coordination, and process optimization to help deliver faster, more accurate, and scalable solutions that improve decision‑making across the enterprise.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the implementation and enhancement of finance systems (planning, forecasting, reporting, analytics) in alignment with FP&A priorities.
  • Translate requirements from business, finance and leadership into functional specifications, partnering with IT and vendors to configure and test system implementations and updates.
  • Manage day‑to‑day project activities including tracking timelines, coordinating stakeholders, preparing documentation, and monitoring progress.
  • Assist in developing and executing change management, training, and communication plans to support user adoption.
  • Maintain process documentation, system controls, and data governance standards.
  • Monitor system performance, gather user feedback, and recommend improvements or issue resolutions.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for FP&A system questions, troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across FP&A processes in alignment with long-term Finance transformation goals.

 

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year college/university with a major in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Five (5) years of experience in FP&A, finance systems support, or financial process improvement roles
  • Possession of strong personal code of ethics, including maintaining confidentiality
  • Experience working with planning or reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, One Stream, Anaplan, Oracle, SAP, Workday Adaptive Planning)
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Solid project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA) preferred
  • Two (2) years of managerial experience
  • Experience with cloud‑based planning platforms and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with data integration concepts and enterprise data environments.
  • Analytical mindset with interest in process improvement and automation.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Energy industry experience is a plus.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Professional open office environment.
  • Hybrid schedule with 4 in‑office days.
  • Work location: Houston, TX
  • Travel within the U.S. as required, up to ~10%.
