They should be comfortable building and using AI agents and repeatable AI-enabled workflows to improve quality, speed, and consistency across product work.

AI-native product builders must also bring scrutiny and discipline to the outputs they create. This includes applying critical judgment, validating assumptions, reviewing outputs for accuracy and completeness, and using evaluation methods/evals where appropriate to test, compare, and improve AI-assisted work. The goal is not simply to move faster; it is to raise the quality of product thinking, artifacts, and decisions.

Success in this role comes from thinking clearly, communicating effectively, and creating the product artifacts that move ideas from concept to reality.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop product strategies, recommendations, roadmaps, and business cases aligned to business objectives and Product leadership direction.
  • Own product discovery by identifying customer problems, validating opportunities, and recommending solutions grounded in customer insight, data, and business value.
  • Balance investment across new product innovation, feature development, and optimization of existing products.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality product artifacts including, product briefs, readable and user friendly Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), business cases, customer journey maps, executive presentations, feature definitions, and launch recommendations, that communicate product thinking, align stakeholders, support decision-making, and enable successful product delivery.
  • Partner closely with Product Design to shape customer journeys, user flows, prototypes, and experience concepts.
  • Build alignment across functional teams to ship products, features, enhancements and capabilities to market.
  • Define product success metrics, monitor performance, and continuously identify opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Apply structured thinking and sound judgment to evaluate trade-offs, communicate recommendations, and influence decision-making.

AI-Native Product Practice

  •     Build and continuously improve AI agents, prompts, and AI-enabled workflows that improve product practices and team effectiveness.
  •     Apply disciplined evaluation ("evals") and critical thinking to AI-assisted work by validating outputs, challenging assumptions, and continuously improving quality.
  •     Identify opportunities to evolve the team's AI capabilities and product operating model through experimentation and continuous learning.

Product Operating Model

  • Champion modern product management practices, product discovery, documentation standards, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Help mature the Product operating model by sharing best practices and raising the quality of product thinking and execution across the team.
  • Complete the Product Faculty AI Product Management program within the first 6 months to align with the team's product operating model.

  • Ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity while bringing clarity to others.

Product Team Philosophy

We value product craft. Great Product Managers don't simply coordinate delivery, they bring clarity to ambiguity, make sound decisions, communicate ideas effectively, and create the artifacts that enable great products to be built. They are builders who leverage cross-functional teams to turn ideas into customer and business value.
