  • Support project development by providing operation period cost estimates for the project economic model which have been optimized for project attributes.
  • Review project locations and design to confirm inputs into the generation forecast model develop strategies that optimize generation against increased operating or capital cost.
  • Work with ongoing operations management to develop methods for cost reduction while still providing quality O&M service.
  • Develop operating scopes and agreements for O&M contractors and work to develop strategies to optimize synergies with nearby facilities or technologies.
  • Support procurement with operational input for performing analysis to determine the best overall evaluation for qualification of new vendors.
  • Manage hand off to the operator during construction phase and review commissioning documents to insure the project will be capable of meeting operating to expectations.




  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience; electrical engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience in operations engineering or equivalent role with 2 years related to distributed solar projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in operations and development support roles in developing of creative solutions to operating challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a matrix work environment with little supervision with ability to travel as required.
  • Good working knowledge of PVsyst, solar operations monitoring programs and other programs specific to solar industry desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Project, Word, and Solar project monitoring remote programs with proven ability to learn new software programs.


Working Conditions:


  • Normal office environment and/or plant environment, including working at heights, high/low ambient temperatures and high humidity areas.
  • Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment.
  • Occasionally requires wearing personal protective safety equipment (respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, etc.)
  • May be required to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials and chemicals
  • Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Requires travel
