  • Understand and troubleshoot site SCADA issues not limited to servers, PLCs, RTACs, and relays
  • Perform installation and repair of  relays and other misc. SCADA equipment
  • Provide local and remote technical support including occasional non-standard
  • Independently or as a team member investigates fundamental problems in plant processes to initiate development of recommended solutions to provide the optimal safest, best environmental and economic solutions
  • Up to 60% travel to wind and solar sites to provide support for technicians




  • PLC and SEL RTAC Programming
  • OSIsoft PI Historian experience with PI ProcessBook and Excel preferred
  • Familiarity with IP networks and network communications (fiber optic, Ethernet) is desirable
  • Familiarity with OPC, ModBus, and DNP3 protocol
  • SAP experience desired
  • MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Access  experience required
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations
  • Ability to provide direction to different levels of operational and technical personnel
  • Strong planning capabilities and the skills to analyze and interpret data to make sound recommendations to Senior Management
  • Strong customer focus (internally & externally)
  • Willingness to work off-hours as business needs dictate
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Strong organizational skills & detail oriented
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time and resource management skills




  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in power plant equipment/system testing, analysis, and SCADA
  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate’s degree in Industrial Electronics or related degree is preferred
  • Experience with wind power plants and PV solar plants preferred
  • PLC Programming or RTAC programming experience required
  • Experience with PLC programming, SEL RTAC preferred


Working Conditions


  • Normal office environment and/or plant environment, including working at heights, high/low ambient temperatures and high humidity areas.
  • Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment.
  • Occasionally requires wearing personal protective safety equipment (respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, etc.)
  • May be required to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials and chemicals
  • Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Work overtime and non-standard working hours as required
  • Requires overnight travel
