Job Summary: 

  • NRG is seeking an extremely talented FP&A analyst to maintain, consolidate, and analyze reporting for NRG’s Generation Business.  The candidate is expected to partner with the business to create, consolidate, compile, and analyze monthly financial and reporting packages.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create, consolidate, compile, and analyze forecasts and reporting packages
  • Investigate anomalies and monthly variances
  • Provide regular support, financial insight, analysis, and recommendations
  • Develops and foster relationships with various departments within NRG while continually seeking opportunities to improve processes
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects as needed


Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2-5 years of experience in a financial role


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hyperion and SAP skills a plus
  • Prior energy experience a plus
  • Advanced MS Excel skills

  • Accounting and financial knowledge necessary
  • Highly organized with strong oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrate commitment to quality and strong attention to detail
