Job Summary: 

The Customer Retention Associate is a critical role to the overall sales growth for NRG. The CRA is responsible for engaging previous customers to sell our value proposition and have them rejoin the NRG family. The CRA should be an extremely talented and ambitious individual who has exceptional telephony communication skills. CRA’s will be responsible for meeting daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals set by management. This position will report directly to the Inside Sales Manager, as well as work closely with the other members of the sales team to determine best practices and market trends that support the sales initiatives.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving sales through outbound calls to dropped customers
  • Take assessment of customer needs and concerns
  • Understand the product offerings and determine the correct offer to fit the customers’ needs
  • Maintain sales reports
  • Achieve and maintain performance metrics and provide best-in-class service
  • Attend team meetings, including but not limited to one-on-one and team training sessions
  • Ensure that NRG’s key policies and procedures (e.g. disclosures, TPV process, documents, record keeping, etc.) are understood and followed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • 2+ years in a service-focused sales role
  • Sales experience including outbound calling is preferred
  • Customer Service, Telesales, Retail, and/or electricity sales experience a plus
  • Proficiency with CRM software solutions preferred

  • Excellent telephone sales personality skills
  • Strong focus on outbound calling
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
  • Effective in handling customer escalations through a consistent, calm, empathetic and professional approach
  • Ability to think creatively and problem-solve
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and multi-task
  • Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly proficient level computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
