Job Summary:

  • Translate complex ideas into clear and effective written and PowerPoint materials for internal and external communications; requires strong writing and PowerPoint skills

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Investor Relations team to continue building a best-in-class Investor Relations program that includes preparation for meetings with investors and conference presentations, while also maintaining focus on the research, presentation, and communication needs of the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and other senior executives. This unique position will allow the successful candidate to build strong relationships across the organization and support the development of NRG’s messaging to the financial community.
  • Position demands strong writing and PowerPoint skills for Quarterly Earnings, Investor Marketing and other projects as needed.
  • Develop communications of the company’s strategic, financial, and operational goals and results to our various stakeholders

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.
  • Extended hours seasonally required
  • Travel (5%)

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required – key areas of focus include: communications, writing, marketing, economics and/or finance
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in professional writing, PowerPoint, creative or material preparation

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with design instincts
  • Attention to detail with proven analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision / self-starter
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Knowledge of the industry preferred but not required
