Job Summary: 

  • Provide modeling, forecasting and analytical support on corporate cash flow budgeting and forecasting including valuation modeling

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support (financial modeling, valuation, sensitivity analysis) to corporate FP&A activities
  • Maintain and/or review complex financial models to support decision making for future investments and business performance measures
  • Work with business units, tax, accounting, various technical teams and advisors to assist in the preparation of detailed forecast of profit and loss, cash flows and balance sheets
  • Assist with ensuring that assumptions and modeling are appropriate and reasonable, while ensuring that the model accurately reflects the terms and conditions of the key project documents
  • Assist with automation of data inputs into the financial planning application
  • Assist in determination of key value drivers of segment valuations
  • Assist with the preparation of recommendations to be presented to senior management
  • Assist in providing data for NRG earnings releases and other corporate functions
  • Assist in providing regular updates of key corporate valuation metrics including performing financial analysis to determine present and future financial performance
  • Assist with quarterly preparation of GAAP to non-GAAP reconciliations for EBITDA and Cash Flows to be included in external reporting materials
  • Manage Capital Expenditure financial model for actuals and projections for the Company
  • Responsible for loading Actual Cash Capital expenditures on a monthly basis through coordination with Accounting, IT and FP&A Business leads
  • Provide variance analysis for Capital expenditure movements between Actuals and Projections by coordinating with the business functional leads in FP&A and Operations
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and create reports as needed

 

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in finance and/or accounting or comparable business field required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong quantitative and Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, fast-paced, real-time team environment, prioritize projects and deliver quality results within tight time constraints
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in an open office team setting and matrix organization
