Job Summary: 

This position supports the Builder Multifamily channel in exploring new opportunities to engage prospects in the rapidly changing multifamily and builder space as well as insure customer satisfaction for our commercial customers.  This position performs all functions related to customer acquisition and retention, including developing new tools and partnerships within our portal and industry.


The Sr. Manager, Market Development & Performance will work with customer, sales, management, vendors and other various functional teams to deliver an outstanding customer service experience to both our Partners and their customers. Such duties can be broad in scope and require creative and forward thinking in conjunction with aggressive follow-up and meticulous attention to detail. Candidate will be required to interact with internal and external partners, our call center, internal resources and to solve problems as they arise.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Continually evaluate effectiveness of Builder/Multifamily processes including SimpleSource and RentReady by Reliant and initiate process and system improvement activities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team discussions to develop timelines for BMF campaigns, new product development and project delivery.
  • Expedite the sales process to help improve sales effectiveness of EMMs. Makes decisions regarding appropriate escalation channel(s) and "must-have" vs. optional deliverables from other groups.
  • Serve as the key subject matter resource for marketing on operational and on-line requests, knowledgeable on all processes across customer lifecycle.
  • Research and resolve contract and customer service issues as directed by EMMs and Sales Management, with a particular focus on enrollment status, contract amendments and escalated billing issues.
  • Participate and contribute in the development marketing collateral and sales plan.
  • Serve as pre and post-launch marketing product expert for resolution of operational, implementation and sales concerns.
  • Proactively uncovering opportunities for new efforts or enhancement of existing business processes.
  • Experienced manager of people, able to give detailed feedback, drive accountability, lead growth and assist in crucial conversations.


Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years’ experience in channel management, or experience with agencies and vendors supporting customer acquisition and retention.
  • 5 years of people management.
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Experience with web, ecommerce and digital optimization and analytics.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with establishing new vendor relationships and operations/internal teams. 
  • Experience working in the utility industry
  • Experience working in the multi family industry

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, Access).

  • Thinks creatively, works independently, handles multiple, concurrent assignments effectively and makes timely decisions; problem-solver in face of time and resource constraints.
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills.
  • High confidence level, ability to take ownership and accountability.
  • Strong business, analytical and problem-solving skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Professional, fast paced, high intensity office environment.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Occasional overtime work may be required as projects require.
  • Occasionally requires lifting up to 25 pounds to perform duties and responsibilities.
