The Manager, Brand and Marketing Communications will lead the strategy and creative development of brand marketing to drive brand consideration, acquisition, and sales across channels including digital, direct mail, email, retail/events, TV, radio, OOH, and customer marketing. This role will manage several internal and external relationships, including marketing team leads, media contacts, and agency partners, to elevate the NRG brand and deliver integrated marketing campaigns.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

-    Own brand, value proposition and positioning for NRG East Retail.  Define strategy to bring value proposition to life across marketing channels. 
-    Establish and track key metrics that define success for the brand, marketing, and media. 
-    Define and implement cohesive brand and messaging strategy across all marketing channels 
-    Lead integrated creative and messaging strategy; lead team in elevating creative and messaging to strengthen NRG’s brand and marketing.  
-    Develop upper funnel through lower funnel message strategy. 
-    Define and drive media strategy; assess media opportunities, specifically within Philadelphia market.
-    Create brand guides, creative briefs, strategy documents, and executive marketing presentations. 
-    Partner with marketing analytics to shape strategy based on key segments. 
-    Collaborate with internal marketing leads and agency leads to develop differentiated marketing campaigns to reach consumers and drive brand awareness and consideration. 
-    Collaborate with retail and corporate marketing teams to create alignment in strategy and messaging.
-    Manage and oversee graphic designers in bringing brand to life through creative.
-    Continuously identify new opportunities to establish brand awareness and elevate brand and positioning.
-    Act as brand steward within marketing, across the business, and with various partners to reinforce value proposition and ensure alignment of marketing programs. 

Minimum qualifications:
-    Bachelors degree
-    7-10 years of brand marketing, marketing communications, and/or media experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

-   Managerial experience

-   Master's Degree or MBA

-   Experience working for or with Markering Agencies

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-    Proven experience driving results in a matrixed organization 
-    Strong brand and creative knowledge and experience 
-    Strong voice in influencing cross-functional and leadership buy in, specifically when introducing new strategies
-    Team player with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment 
-    Well-developed communication skills
