The small business consultant will be responsible for identifying, managing and closing business relationships with new & existing electricity customers in the Texas market. Will identify prospects and profitably sell new electricity products and services to small commercial customers, followed by ongoing management of the business relationship with Discount Power/Cirro including customer service and retention.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 
•    Manage the ongoing business relationships with assigned customer base by maintaining contact as needed, promoting incremental products and services, resolving customer issues and renewing expiring contracts when assigned. 
•    Completely execute and follow the onboarding process for new customers.  Generate contracts, have them executed by the customer and process them properly according to business guidelines.
•    Work cooperatively and effectively with all members of the service delivery team. Provide all information necessary to service and ensure successful execution of all customer agreements.
•    Maintain high awareness of the competitive environment, electricity marketing trends, and current pricing strategies and utility tariffs. 
•    Ability to meet agreed upon goals, on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
•    Responsible for following all Public Utility Commission market guidelines, and company risk policies.
•    Represent company in a professional and ethical manner. 
•    Attendance and active participation in required meetings and training sessions.
•    Job includes all duties above but not limited to them.


•    High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business, marketing or related discipline preferred 


Experience, Skills and Abilities: 
•    A minimum of 2 years commercial energy & direct sales experience is a plus 
•    Results oriented with a strong competitive drive to be the best
•    Knowledge of deregulated electric market preferred. 
•    Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and proof of insurance. 
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    High energy with a positive attitude
•    Fluency in Urdu or Hindi preferred


Physical Requirements:
•    Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities


Working Conditions: 
•    Limited travel may be required. 
•    Some overtime required as special projects arise. 
•    Ability to travel within Texas
