Summary:

NRG is seeking a talented and ambitious professional to support and manage the Retail Sales channel.  This position will follow the overall channel sales strategy and work with our Channel Sales Manager and Marketing teams to execute overall sales plan.  The position will be responsible for building and expanding both brand and product awareness with new and existing customers in the Texas market.  This position will serve as the subject matter expert, advising vendor management in the development of sales strategies, execution of general sales process, scripting for our sales teams and feedback for merchandising displays.  This position will also have responsibility and accountability for meeting Reliant’s financial goals and transactional outcomes in the Retail Sales channel.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Strong transformational project leadership capabilities to drive results across the organization on multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Lead and recommend strategic thinking for Retail Sales, community involvement and events opportunities.
  • Develop strong working relationships with staffing vendors to drive sales results in assigned retail business and community awareness.
  • Work with Channel Management and vendor(s) to develop campaign implementation plans including sales projections, systems requirements, training specifications, staffing plans, presentation flows and scripting.
  • Set operational performance metrics and monitor and manage vendor performance.
  • Manage sales and volunteer implementation that includes:
    • Staffing
    • Budget Management
    • Training and Scripting
    • Quality Control/Customer Experience
    • Reporting
    • Social Media
  • Develop recommendations and options for future campaigns based on results.
  • Identify, evaluate and recommend industry best practices for consideration in campaign development.
  • Maximize product offerings for sales and collaborate with Channel Management in the development of new products across all brands.

     

     

    Education Level: A bachelor's degree in marketing, general business or operations management preferred.

     

    Experience 3-5 years’ experience in managing marketing programs, retail sales management, or project management experience. Experience with establishing both marketing and communication strategies.  Management of “Go-to-market strategy” preferred.

  • The ability to work well independently on several projects concurrently, and possess excellent communication, organizational and creative thinking skills.
  • Self-starter; takes steps to improve deliverables/results without having to be asked.
  • Thorough understanding of direct marketing process flow; able to identify needs/gaps and formulate solutions.
  • Strong initiative and customer service orientation; volunteer management skills an asset.
  • Ability to confidently and comfortably present information to a variety of levels within the organization including upper management.
  • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software products required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral business communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus with analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Outstanding initiative and project management skills.

Physical Requirements:

  •        Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.

 

Working Conditions:

  •        Normal office environment.
  •        Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  •        Retail Store Environments           
  •        Some travel required.
