This position is governed by a local union contract.


Job Summary: 


The Account Representative II is part of the NRG Retail Group. This position serves a primary role in managing remittance support for a customer portfolio within Customer Operations. The position also provides support to core remittance processing functions such as bank reconciliation and non NRG Retail customer refunds.



Essential Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Consistently apply knowledge required to perform technical and procedural aspects of the position.
  • Performs all aspects of work with a high degree of effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Prepare weekly metrics report and/or special projects report to update manager on key issues and/or accomplishments to date.
  • Effectively interface with a wide variety of people both internally and externally to ensure that payment processing service level satisfies business strategy.
  • Support manual processing, including data entry.



Working Conditions:


  • Fast paced office environment with high volume workload.
  • Frequent use of computers, i.e. typing on keyboards, viewing monitors, etc.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Open office environment.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  • Travel (add % of time or minimal, etc.)


Minimum Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED required. (Some college is desirable)



Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5+ years customer service and data entry related experience.  Knowledge of the utility and/or deregulated energy industry is a plus.
  • SAP FICO processing knowledge is desired.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent personal computer skills within a windows environment, including spreadsheets, databases and word processing.
  • Ability to use fundamental math daily (add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages).
  • Ability to use 10-key calculator.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License.
