Reliant Energy, a division of NRG and leading retail electricity provider in Texas, is seeking a Marketing Manager to build, implement, and execute the necessary strategies and plans for driving consumer awareness, conversion, and retention with a focus on the U.S. Hispanic segment.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a deep understanding of Hispanic consumer attitudes, behaviors, and needs.
  • Stays abreast of the changing consumer landscape, key marketing trends, and best practices.
  • Develops winning marketing strategies by leveraging consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and historical learnings.
  • Builds comprehensive integrated marketing plans by collaborating with teams across the business.
  • Communicates marketing strategies and plans throughout the organization to ensure understanding and alignment.
  • Drives marketing activities, in strong partnership with in-house PR, media, digital, and creative teams, to achieve seamless execution of plans.  
  • Develops campaign KPIs and reports on results.
  • Contributes to the development of compelling promotional messaging and materials for multiple channels.
  • Analyzes rich data sets to identify opportunities for targeting marketing and sales efforts.
  • Recommends additional marketing activities in the marketplace (Retail stores, local events, etc.) to reach and influence consumers.
  • Evaluates and manages agency partnerships.
  • Creates presentations and shares with C-suite audiences.



Education: Marketing, Business or related bachelor’s degree is required.  MBA preferred.


Language: Ability to read, write, speak, and translate both English and Spanish.


Experience: 3-5 years in multicultural consumer marketing, especially the U.S. Hispanic segment.  CPG experience highly preferred.

  • Proficient with standard office workstation technology, including Microsoft Office suite of software tools.
  • Strong analytically and comfortable with advanced spreadsheets (Excel) and visualization tools (Spotfire, Tableau).
