Reliant seeks an experienced Market & Segment Analytics Senior Manager with strong analytical and business intelligence skills. This position is on-site and full-time located at our office located in Houston, Texas. The role will collaborate closely with Market Managers and cross-functional groups to identify business problems and provide data-driven solutions to optimize Reliant’s acquisition strategies.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leverage intelligence gathered from a variety of internal and external data sources to understand the overarching factors in shaping today’s and tomorrow’s business and consumer landscape. This involves:
    • Studying the broader macroeconomic environment
    • Evaluating the marketplace
    • Analyzing the consumer journey and brand experience
    • Detecting and understanding emerging signals of change
    • Identifying gaps and highlighting strategic growth opportunities
  • Provide proactive, collaborative thought leadership, business insights, strategic analysis, and action-oriented recommendations to support major initiatives and meet company and brand growth goals
  • Utilize brand and marketing insights knowledge, business intelligence and consumer research to support the team in developing a clear strategic plan for Reliant.
  • Leverage business and brand knowledge to actively investigate the power of micro-targeting, segmentation and personalization to support the Reliant brand, fuel business insight and impact growth
  • Provide consumer segmentation insights and performance analytics to internal stakeholders who seek a deeper understanding of their target consumers and markets
  • Equip internal clients and stakeholders with quick, actionable intelligence they need to make informed, data-driven decisions
  • Evaluate qualitative shifts in brand perception to gain a deeper understanding behind related consumer actions

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, math, and statistics.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a Marketing Analytics position pulling reports and insights from data analysis, looking at data, determining  recommendations with insight data
  • B2C Marketing experience
  • Able to work in cross-functional teams and communicated with stakeholders and articulate recommendations professionally
  • Proven experience in managing complex data sets, performing data analysis and developing accurate, insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Proven background in working with analytical and business intelligence tools

 

Preferred Requirements: 

  • MBA in Graduate degree in Math or Statistics'
  • Deregulated energy experience
  • Experience working with Power BI and Tableau

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Highly data-driven with the ability to analyze, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts to make effective business decisions
  •  In-depth understanding of analytics, databases, media channels, and marketing technology platforms
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to interface effectively with individuals in various functions and at various levels
  • Ability to think creatively and effectively use data to tell a story or explain a concept
  • Previous background evaluating, testing, and tracking marketing campaigns with the ability to make recommendations additional campaigns 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a detailed and organized manner
  • Able to utilize organizational and project management skills to direct work activities within critical path timelines

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Occasional overtime work may be required as projects require.
  • Professional, fast paced, high intensity office environment.
