Job Summary: 

 

The Retail Intern Program is part of NRG’s Texas retail energy organization. This organization is responsible for NRG’s retail sales, marketing, operations, and branding efforts. The Intern Program recruits highly motivated and mobile-minded college students to join NRG Energy during the summer of 2020. Participants will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills while fulfilling specific business needs working with NRG leaders. Participants will also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills and interests, as well as experience NRG's culture and values.

Multibrand Marketing Intern will be working on social media management for multibrand. They will be working on both paid and organic efforts, focusing on strategic ad placements, content creation and customer engagement. They will closely work with various teams that support the channel – CX, Creative and Digital Marketing. Additionally, they will be working with data & analytics to find trends/patterns and would also be assisting with user testing and market research.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Participate in key functional areas or core operational/business groups on a variety of strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Contribute to objectives that may range across project management, competitive intelligence, business strategy, process improvement, issue resolution, product development, and/or sales analytics.
  • Provide support on requested efforts, organizing tasks, communicating clearly, and proactively outlining next steps.
  • Assist team with implementation of marketing plans and campaigns
  • Assist with management of internal and external creative resources/agencies to oversee collateral development.
  • Assist with social media marketing campaign development and execution – ad placement, objective, targeting, etc.
  • Analyze market and competitive marketing trends and recommend actions to achieve annual business goals.
  • Engage on social platforms to help address and escalate customer issues to internal teams.

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university or college.
  • On track to achieving Bachelor’s degree.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree on track to achieve in Business or Marketing Degree preferred
