Job Description

 

NRG Energy has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Digital Designer to contribute to our in-house creative team for Business Solutions, reporting directly to the Digital Design Manager. This role is responsible for creating high-level design concepts for the daily marketing of NRG's digital channels, including video. You will work on the creation of graphics assets that will feed into our website, emails, and site experiences, as well as creating print pieces such as sales sheets, reports, and white papers.

 

 What you will do

 

  • Work within brand guidelines to create both digital and print layouts and site experiences that reinforce NRG's voice through its visual touchpoints
  • Design a wide variety of digital assets including homepages, landing pages, site experiences, and emails
  • Leverage already created assets
  • Collaborate in the creation of style guides and toolkits to be shared out with our strategic marketing team and across the company 
  • Edit video projects using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Create graphics for videos.
  • Work with social media team for video for social platforms.
  • Work closely with marketing managers, copy team and vendors to obtain all relevant information, technical requirements and timelines for each project 
  • Complete projects both independently or in partnership with other designers

 

 Minimum Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor's degree  
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing for print, web and digital media 
  • Previous experience creating marketing collateral in a corporate environment
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
  • Must possess strong concepting and design skills 
  • Must have a solid foundation in typography, layout, and design 

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Design majors
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS

  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills 
  • A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress and meet deadlines 
  • The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously 
  • Ability to meet all deadlines under pressure and can react to unexpected schedule changes and fluctuations in workload 
  • Experience with juggling multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations 
  • Ability to own video projects from inception to completion; strong understanding of all aspects of production
  • Ability to animate and create graphic packages for video
