Job Summary: 

 

The Junior Business Coordinator is responsible for developing and coordinating cross-functional efforts across the organization. He/she will be responsible for providing traditional support functions as needed (creating proposals, gathering performance reports, data reconciliation/analysis). The Junior Coordinator will work under the direction of the Senior Business Operations Analyst to support various projects and tasks focused on process and efficiency improvements. The Junior Coordinator will also assist with the design and implementation of these projects and tasks. He/she will help track projects to completion on schedule, on budget, and with exceptional customer satisfaction. The Junior Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring all internal resources are collectively moving towards implementation. For the right individual, this position has significant growth potential.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Have a general understanding of the DER business (DR, ABDR) and the markets NRG conducts business in
  • Provide administrative support for the Senior Analyst
  • Assist the Senior Analyst with driving process improvement initiatives across multiple departments
  • Report on findings from tracking the status of projects to the Senior Analyst
  • Be a motivated self-starter
  • The desire to achieve and exceed all assigned goals
  • Have strong organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with a diverse group of customers and internal departments
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint
  • Use internet tools for research purposes
  • Work well in an individual and in a team environment
  • Handle multiple tasks or assignments simultaneously
  • Work well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Work without direct supervision to achieve project goals
  • Be proactive in learning new information
  • Manage complex issues to find solutions

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise
  • Minimal travel

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Experience working independently

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or similar field
  • At least 1-year of project management experience
  • 3 plus years of professional work experience

     

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Will be required to perform additional duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
