Responsibilities:

The Ancillary Products Analyst has responsibility for supporting the sales, market operations and customer care groups with the ancillary product offerings in all markets for all participating customers:

  • Provide ongoing evaluation of customer contracts, market price signals, available ancillary programs, and other factors to maximize use of distributed generation assets
  • Interface daily with the Ancillary Products Coordinator to plan asset usage
  • Support sales in identifying and evaluating customer opportunities for distributed assets and ancillary products, and help to define their value to potential customers
  • Support market operations to ensure all customers and assets are optimally positioned enrolled in the correct programs
  • Interface with customers on an as-needed basis throughout the sales process and in post-contract relationship management
  • Develop new and evolving products and sales strategies, particularly in response to market regulation changes

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, math, economics, finance, or another related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of operations or analytics experience in Demand Response, Utilities, or Retail Energy Suppliers.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in electricity and natural gas commodity contracts, demand response programs, and ISO/RTO ancillary market programs
  • Strong analytical background and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have a professional manner and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
  • Past experience demonstrating an aptitude for learning and flexibility
  • Experience in internal and external customer-facing roles
