Position Summary: This position will be responsible for scheduling and tracking day-to-day sales activities focused on tables and kiosks inside Best Buy and other retail locations across a defined territory. The Best Buy Team Lead will build and supervise a team of at least 4 employees per retail location. The position will coach, manage and work alongside employees who are dedicated to working inside specific locations and maintaining sales per hour and productivity minimums. This position requires strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and reporting abilities as well as a proven track record of success in face-to-face sales environments. The Team Lead ensures that all Sales Agents are delivering consistent sales messaging and performance while maintaining high-quality standards. The role will be responsible for safety, coaching and motivating the sales team to achieve organizational, team, and individual sales goals, as well as identifying potential career employees.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed
  • Meet individual and team sales goals
  • Manage a team of sales agents
  • Ensure personal and team adherence to company policy protocols
  • Ensure communication and compliance with proper messaging to team
  • Ensure sales agents are properly equipped with current tools and materials
  • Provide sales coaching, motivation, and training to sales agents
  • Lead by example by maintaining messaging and brand identity during the sales process
  • Lead by example by fulfilling personal sales goals and expectations
  • Work with other team members to support agent recruitment activities
  • Work with other team members to ensure ideal table placement within retail locations
  • Work with other team members to ensure sales venues are properly equipped with materials and appropriate staffing for optimal sales results
  • Sell/close prospects for Green Mountain Energy® Pollution Free® Electricity products
  • Provide detailed weekly and monthly performance reports to the Market Manager, including individual agent performance, sales opportunity results, customer feedback, and other data
  • Attend and/or host sales meetings
  • Complete tasks and deliverables correctly and on-time
  • The workload is split 80% in the field, 20% in the office including year-round sales activity
  • Some evenings and weekend availability is required
  • Regular travel is required across the region with and vehicle ownership being preferred

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience achieving targeted sales results
  • Must have valid Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to travel within the state of New York up to 80% of the time
  • Must have occasional weekend and evening availability
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience managing large groups of people
  • Previous recruiting experience
  • SAP experience
  • Previous Energy/Utility experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong time management skills
  • Sincere interest in environmental protection and the growth of renewable energy preferred
  • High level of personal integrity, honesty, and dependability a must
  • Responsible, cooperative, and enthusiastic team player
