We are seeking a highly dynamic and forward-thinking Senior Manager to provide global oversight of quality systems across multiple manufacturing sites. The Senior Manager will act as a catalyst for upholding world-class quality benchmarks that reflect customer expectations, meet regulatory demands, and reinforce the company's dedication to excellence. Experience managing international or globally distributed teams across varying time zones is needed for this position.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a global team of quality engineers and quality professionals responsible for quality assurance across our global supply chain.
  • Develop and deploy quality policies, procedures and objectives that ensure customer requirements and relevant regulatory standards are achieved.
  • Collaborate with product engineering, product management, operations and field quality teams to understand voice of customer (VOC) issues, drive corrective actions and implement lessons learned.
  • Reduce cost of poor quality (CoPQ) through data driven initiatives focused on scrap, rework, warranty, etc.
  • NPI launch readiness ensuring manufacturing operations meet milestones and requirements throughout the product development cycle including PFMEA, control plan, capacity & quality.
  • Establish program of leading indicators to allow for more proactive action to address process variability and issues
  • Drive standardization across manufacturing facilities, common processes, common metrics, etc.
  • Develops and oversees a comprehensive global quality strategy that aligns with the organization’s vision, values, and operational objectives.
  • Ensures supplier quality standards are met and maintained, fostering strong relationships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversees quality assurance processes in manufacturing operations to ensure products meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance processes into new product development.
  • Ensures compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. Leads initiatives to ensure conformance to internal global and regional quality standards across all manufacturing facilities and supply chains.
  • Collaborates with engineering, operations, supply chain, marketing, and other key functions to identify opportunities for process improvement, seamless integration of quality principles and optimized pre-production processes.
  • Builds, leads, and mentors a diverse, high-performing team of quality professionals across regions to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer, ensuring feedback is incorporated into processes and consistently exceeding customer quality expectations.
  • Leads external quality audits and effectively managing any findings or corrective actions.
  • Performance Metrics: Establishes and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality outcomes, operational performance, and strategic alignment.
  • Develop departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines to meet business needs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Mini-Tab (or equivalent) statistical analysis software.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in quality leadership roles within consumer electronics or automotive sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of ISO standards, PPAP, APQP, and supplier quality management.
  • Proven experience managing global teams and external suppliers.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with audio/electronics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and environmental standards (ISO 14001:2015).
  • Ability to travel internationally to Asia on a quarterly basis to oversee supplier quality and external resources.
  • Understanding of product development processes, especially within hardware, software, and electronics.
  • Experience in Change Management, ideally within the automotive, electronics manufacturing, or technology sectors or enterprise environment.
