The Role:

Join Vivint’s Customer Marketing team to help enhance customer experiences, boost engagement, and increase lifetime value. As the Marketing Automations Manager, you will lead and grow the marketing automation team, driving innovation across our processes. This role is key to refining automation workflows, ensuring smooth customer journey maintenance, improving data architecture, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute marketing campaigns. We're seeking a candidate with a deep passion for marketing, strong expertise in automation platforms, and a drive for optimizing processes, data analysis, and campaign execution while promoting team performance and technological innovation.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

·     Develop and manage end-to-end marketing automation workflows aligned to business goals.

·     Build, deploy, and optimize email, SMS, and other automated campaigns.

·     Oversee and perform audience segmentation and personalization using SQL, CDP tools, and CRM integrations.

·     Contribute to journey design, lead nurturing flows, lifecycle messaging, triggers, and behavioral automation.

·     Own QA, auditing, and continuous improvement for campaign logic, data integrity, and performance.

·     Define and document marketing automation strategies, roadmaps, and scalable frameworks.

·     Translate marketing goals into technical automation deliverables with cross-team partners.

·     Lead A/B and multivariate tests to improve campaign engagement, conversion, and ROI.

·     Ensure customer data hygiene, segmentation accuracy, compliance with privacy laws, and proper opt-in/out preferences.

·     Analyze performance metrics (open rates, conversions, engagement) and deliver actionable insights to leadership.

·     Build dashboards and reports that translate data into recommendations.

·     Maintain and optimize the marketing tech stack, ensuring platform health, integrations, and feature adoption.

·     Stay up to date with platform updates, best practices, accessibility standards, and automation trends.

·     Act as subject matter expert for automation tools, training team members as needed.

·     Partner with Product, Data, Engineering, Lifecycle Communications, and internal stakeholders.

·     Support scalable processes that reduce errors, streamline communication, and enhance customer experience.

·     Assist with mobile and web marketing enablement, including in-app and content technology integration.

 

Required Skills:

·     Expertise with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Braze, HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).

·     Strong knowledge of email, SMS, push and multi-channel marketing.

·     Knowledge of HTML and CSS.

·     Proficient in data segmentation (SQL, CDP tools) and data-driven campaign analysis.

·     Experience with A/B and multi-variant testing; advanced reporting interpretation.

·     Ability to translate business goals into automation logic and execution flows.

·     Excellent team collaboration, communication, and project prioritization skills.

·     Highly analytical with a focus on actionable insights and optimization.

·     Customer-centric mindset and passion for continuous improvement.

 

Required Experience:

·     3+ years of technical expertise in marketing automation tools.

·     3+ years across various digital/commerce technologies and platforms.

·     Experience working for/with the direct-to-consumer division of an omni-channel retailer

·     Bachelor’s degree from a recognized 4-year college or university.

What you will be working on:

·     Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product/GTM, Analytics, Engineering/Developers, Creative/Content, and business stakeholders to plan, build, and scale automated lifecycle programs.

·     Own end-to-end marketing automation workflows—from data requirements and segmentation to build, QA, launch, measurement, and ongoing optimization.

·     Ensure automation strategy aligns to the broader marketing plan, customer journey, and business goals (acquisition, conversion, retention, and upsell).

·     Design scalable journey architecture that supports agile, evolving customer segments and enables timely, personalized messaging across key touchpoints.

·     Build and maintain multi-channel campaigns including email, SMS, push, and in-app experiences (e.g., welcome series, onboarding, nurture, abandoned cart, renewal/retention).

·     Monitor performance and continuously optimize for key KPIs such as engagement, conversion rate, revenue impact, and customer retention.

·     Use data and insights to recommend and implement improvements in targeting, messaging, sequencing, timing, and channel mix.

·     Oversee configuration, governance, and day-to-day management of the marketing automation platform (e.g., Braze, HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot), including integrations and system health.

·     Serve as the primary point of contact for automation initiatives—managing intake, prioritization, timelines, and stakeholder communication.

·     Collaborate with content and design partners to develop high-performing lifecycle content that balances product detail, clarity, and customer-friendly readability across all devices and platforms.

·     Plan and execute A/B and multivariate tests to improve messaging, creative, and journey performance—and document learnings to scale what works.

·     Maintain strong data hygiene and quality standards, including audience definitions, suppression logic, and database cleanliness.

·     Partner with legal and compliance, ensuring all automation programs follow data privacy and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR/CCPA) and internal governance standards.

·     Staying current on emerging trends, platform capabilities, and best practices to continuously evolve our automation strategy and competitive edge.

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Automation Manager who can own our automation strategy end-to-end and bring structure, clarity, and momentum to how we execute lifecycle marketing. The ideal candidate is a strong cross-functional leader who can align stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and deliver scalable programs that improve both customer experience and business outcomes.

You should be comfortable setting the vision for automated journeys, building and optimizing campaigns across channels, and ensuring best-in-class operational practices—from governance and QA to reporting and performance optimization.
