Job Summary:
- The Operations Analyst is responsible for identifying and engaging all resources, both internal and external to continually improve processes to produce timely and accurate customer invoices.
- The Operation Analyst will evaluate current billing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and provide insights and recommendations.
- The Operation Analyst is considered a subject matter expert, is responsible for leading project work and facilitating solutions for critical billing issues and works under limited supervision with a focus and direct impact on the customer experience.
- The Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of payment processing activities. This role involves monitoring transactions, reconciling accounts, resolving payment issues, supporting, and presenting on process improvements to enhance operational performance.
- The Operation Management Analyst is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of loans, ensuring accurate processing, compliance, and reporting. This role involves analyzing loan portfolios, monitoring performance, managing documentation, and supporting operational efficiency within the lending process.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ongoing process and procedure improvements and development of efficiencies to improve speed and accuracy for all customer billings.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Identify, recommend, test, and implement future system enhancements to make the billing process more accurate and efficient.
- Create and manage protocols for preventing and handling billing exceptions and delays.
- Participate as subject matter expert for any billing projects.
- Responsible for identifying and closing operational gaps.
- Responsible for training the Billing Department staff and other functional groups regarding the use of billing tools, complex invoice calculations, and billing software programs.
- Ensure operational readiness for new products and new market entries by planning, recommending, testing, and implementing processes or data aggregations that produce accurate customer invoices.
- Participate in cross functional process improvement teams to realign operational focus on automating and streamlining the invoice generation process.
- All other projects and duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Open office environment or fully remote work options available.
- Travel: Less than 5%.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business or a related area and 2-4 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with consumer loan products.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and credit scoring models.
- Process optimization experience preferred.
- Knowledge of compliance standards (PCI, SOX).
- Familiarity with automation tools and payment gateways.
- 2+ years of experience in payment operations, accounts receivable, or treasury.
- Strong understanding of payment systems (ACH, SWIFT, wire transfers).
- Strong understanding of lending processes, loan servicing, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Excel and financial software (payment platforms).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven ability to lead small to medium teams.
- An effective communicator with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Demonstrates expertise of billing practices and procedures within a particular business field.
- Demonstrates expertise in using and presenting in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SQL.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a pressure paced environment.
- Familiarity with automation tools and payment gateways.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
