Job Summary:

The Sr. Regional Facilities Manager for NRG requires an individual who has strong background in commercial Facilities building systems, including but not limited to UPS, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, generators, etc. In addition, this position requires demonstrated experience building Facilities strategy, objectives, key metrics, reporting, and process improvement initiatives for a team which they would lead. The technical expertise, people management, and dedication to process improvement and strategy must be equally balanced in the individual that fills this role.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Leader for 5-6 NRG Facilities Regional Managers located throughout the United States.
  • Driving the overarching strategy and corresponding processes improvement projects for the Regional Facilities Managers. Ensuring continual growth towards a best-in-class Facilities Team.
  • Responsible for all programs and processes for the maintenance of NRG offices in the United States and Canada.
  • Responsible for training, sustaining, and monitoring the execution of programs by the Regional Managers.
  • High level of technical facilities knowledge to assist the Regional Managers with any technical facilities issues or projects as they arise.
  • Lead the Facilities Team safety initiatives including training, tracking, and reporting safety related incidents.
  • Gather information and create reports that clearly communicate Safety incidents, Work order Completion, and ongoing projects for a majority of NRG’s North American Facilities.
  • Track and ensure operation of all building systems and operations.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical and building systems.
  • Lead projects that will include repairs, equipment upgrades, and comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all equipment and systems.
  • Ensure all systems exceed operational standards as well as meet local, state and Federal requirements.
  • Maintain NRG brand with regards to landscape, cosmetic appeal, and building cleanliness
  • Maintain familiarity with building code and manage/work with external vendors.
  • Manage fleet of facilities vehicles.
  • Maintain budget of all operations in regional facilities.

 

Required Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related Facilities field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as Facilities Engineer/Building Manager.
  • Experience managing a team of 5 or more.
  • High degree of building systems management including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, UPS systems and life safety.
  • Familiar with blueprints, and architectural terminology.
  • Program management experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to use quantitative approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • “Owner’s” attitude, including a willingness to tackle problems through to solutions and an ability to work both independently and across functions.
  • Ability to learn from and adjusted based on ENPS feedback.
  • Comfortable with some ambiguity.  Problem solving skills a must.
  • Have the ability to cooperate and work well with others.
  • Possess good written, oral and communication skills.
  • Excellent work ethic, habits, integrity, honesty.
